About the Author
Richard Beebe, MS, BSN, NREMT-P is the program director for Bassett Health Care's Center for Rural Emergency Medical Services Education in Cooperstown, New York. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the State University of New York at Cobleskill, New York. Richard Beebe is also a practicing field Paramedic with the Guilderland Police Department, since 1988. Richard Beebe has a Masters degree in education, is a registered Nurse and a nationally registered Paramedic. Richard Beebe has been an EMS educator for over two decades and is a chapter member of the National Association of EMS Educators. Mr. Beebe is a state and national speaker, author or editor of several textbooks, and has been recently working in a leadership role on the committee for the National EMS Education Standards of the National Association of EMS Educators.

Great Operations section.

I ordered this book for my Paramedic class primarily for the Operations section. The layout and content covers topics that go beyond vehicle extrications, incident command, and disaster response. There are over 300 pages that include chapters on ambulance safety, urban and wilderness search and rescue, and specialized interfacility transports. The power points are streamlined and editable, and the tests and quizzes easily upload into Blackboard.
With the cost of books today, it is nice that students have the option to rent the e-book.

The best!

This is a continuation of the first volume.
This is by far the most comprehensive and user friendly textbook I have read. It is up to date with current medicine and trends in pre-hospital care. A considerable learning tool that casts a shadow over other books. Definitely worth it!
